About / Bio Boyd Grund (1985) is an actor and screenwriter who discovered his passion for hip-hop after studying Social Work. The Rotterdam native, born and raised, found an outlet for his artistic talent as a graffiti artist and DJ, and also began developing his skills as a breakdancer. This eventually led him to the theater, where he could combine hip-hop and acting. Boyd transitioned from a dancing actor to an actor who also dances, performing in both theater and various TV/film productions. He initiated the creation of theater productions in which his versatile background played a central role. Boyd continued his creative journey by delving into scriptwriting. He collaborated as one of the main writers on his first (short) film titled “SHANK,” which was selected for the UK platform Million Youth Media. Grund is also chosen as one of the Rotterdam writing talents at Het Veerhuis of the Droom en Daad foundation, where he can further develop his skills as a writer. Boyd his versatility makes him an emerging talent in the film industry, where he aims to tell socially relevant stories from within.
