About / Bio Boyd Grund (1985) is a Rotterdam born actor and screenwriter whose creative roots lie in hip-hop culture. After studying Social Work, he found expression through graffiti, DJing, and breakdancing. Art forms that not only shaped his identity, but also laid the foundation for his transition into theater. There, he discovered a space where movement and storytelling could meet, evolving from a dancing actor into an actor who brings rhythm and presence into every role.
His artistic versatility led him to initiate stage productions that reflect his unique background, blending street culture with narrative depth. Over time, Boyd expanded his focus to screenwriting, driven by a desire to tell stories from within communities often spoken about, but rarely represented authentically. His debut short film SHANK, co-written as one of the lead writers, was selected by the UK platform Million Youth Media. A testament to his growing voice as a storyteller.
Boyd continues to hone his craft and is currently developing his first feature film and a new short with the team of SHANK. Besides this, he played a key role in the founding of a new Videoland series.
