About / Bio Ashley Röttjers (1996) is a Rotterdam-based photographer and director known for her raw yet intimate visual language. Working across photography, film, and commissioned campaigns, she creates narratives shaped by a sensitivity to identity, everyday beauty, and emotional nuance.
Alongside her commercial work for clients including Nationale-Nederlanden, New Balance, Zalando, Adidas, Netflix, Patta, Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, and Kunsthal Rotterdam, Röttjers develops an autonomous practice rooted in personal storytelling.
Her debut short film Regen in Augustus was nominated for a Gouden Kalf for Best Short Film in 2026, reflecting her distinctive approach to image-making across photography and film.
