Jasper Stoop

About / Bio Jasper Stoop (1996) graduated from the Amsterdamse Toneelschool en Kleinkunstacademie in 2020 with the production ‘The Worm in Being’, which he co-created with Teun Donders. Together, they won the ‘De Top Naeff Prijs’ as promising talents of the academy. Afterward, he worked as a theater maker and actor at Orkater: He co-created – and performed in – productions such as ‘The Things That Lie Buried’ and ‘The Utility of Edo Dompelmans’ with Simme Wouters. As an actor and musician, he participated in productions like ‘The Sorrow of the Zuiderzee’ (directed by Geert Lageveen) and ‘Wildfire’ (directed by Belle van Heerikhuizen). Last season, he was also featured in the final production of Mugmetdegoudentand under the direction of Lineke Rijxman: ‘The Making of Soros the Musical’. On television, he appeared in ‘Het Klokhuis’ and ‘Welcome to the Years…’ by NTR. Additionally, he was seen in ‘Mocro Maffia’, ‘Cast’, ‘The Golden Hour’, and ‘Rundfunk: Roy & Duco’. Jasper is a versatile individual who excels on multiple fronts. As an actor, he has proven his abilities by portraying various roles and characters. He enjoys transforming physically and vocally into something further from himself than initially perceived (e.g., a Brabant trailer park camper, Amsterdam street urchin, etc.). Next season, he will be appearing in ‘High Rise’ by Orkater, and in 2026, his new production with Simme Wouters will debut at Orkater in the theater.
