About / Bio Tara Hetharia (1995) is a versatile actress and creator, graduated in 2021 from the Theater Academy in Maastricht. She began her career at a young age with leading roles in musicals, films, and TV series, later taking time off to develop her craft at the Academy. Tara has appeared in various productions, including the series Dertigers, De Freek Tapes, Van Der Valk, Der Amsterdam Krimi, and Follow the Soa.
Known for her strong text understanding and emotional depth, Tara aims to connect with audiences on a deeper level. She is also developing her own projects, including a short film about her Moluccan roots, Au Kata. Additionally, Tara has 20 years of experience in voice-over work, contributing to projects like Moana 2 and Avatar: The Last Airbender.
She played the lead in Verliefd op Bali and has featured in films like Trip-Tych and Bae Doven. She’ll also star in a telefilm set to release in 2026. In theater, Tara has performed in productions such as Roof, 233 Graden, De Tempel, the international production Neverland and the celebrated Lichter dan ik.
Her work in both film and theater showcases her wide range as an actress.
