About / Bio Ghislaine van IJperen (1996) is a Dutch-Indonesian actress based in Rotterdam. She graduated from the Toneelacademie Maastricht in 2021, where she explored a wide range of roles and developed a strong affinity for both physical and text-based theatre.
Her style is expressive and physical, shaped by years of dance training in ballet, modern and hip-hop. Movement plays a natural role in her performances, resulting in work that is both emotionally honest and visually striking. She is often described as a disarmingly present performer with strong physical control, emotional depth, and a stage presence defined by stillness, clarity and instinctive timing.
Ghislaine has worked with theatre companies such as Het Filiaal Theatermakers and Wat We Doen. On screen, she will play the title role in the upcoming series “Kees Flodder” and she can among others also be seen in the feature films “Verliefd op Curaçao” and “Onze Jongens 3”.
With experience across theatre, television and film, Ghislaine van IJperen continues to build a profile as a versatile and committed performer within the Dutch cultural landscape.
