About / Bio Ferhat Kaplan (1992) is an actor and filmmaker from the south of the Netherlands. His work is defined by raw emotional honesty, social awareness, and a deep exploration of identity.
Over the past few years, he has appeared in a wide range of productions, from leading roles in short films to supporting roles in major productions for BNNVARA, Videoland, and Netflix. In 2024, he was nominated for a Shortcutz Amsterdam Award for Best Actor and received a grant from the Netherlands Film Fund for his debut as a screenwriter. He is currently developing his first feature film.
His style is intimate, direct, and visually driven, with authenticity taking precedence over spectacle. He believes in telling the stories he himself needed while growing up.
