About / Bio Levi Verspeek (1991) is a Dutch filmmaker who seeks out the quiet cracks in everyday life. His work lingers on tender, easily overlooked moments, exploring the subtle tension between playfulness and melancholy that runs through human connection. Blending a joyful tone with personal, emotionally grounded themes, Verspeek has developed a distinct narrative voice.
His body of work spans short films, series, music videos and commercial projects, with writing and directing equally central to his process. He created ‘ALEX’ for VPRO and ‘Shotgun!’ for BNNVARA, and directed numerous commercial campaigns ranging from Bubbelfrisss to the Dutch Ministry of Defence. Notable music videos include collaborations with artists such as S10 and Froukje.
Continuously searching for new ways to tell stories, Verspeek invites viewers to see the world with fresh eyes, highlighting the beauty and complexity hidden within the ordinary.
