About / Bio Lin Woldendorp (1994) is a photographer, working and living in Amsterdam. Her work has been published in newspapers like Het Parool, de Volkskrant, VICE and magazines like VIVA and zaterdagmagazine PS. Lin started out as a model but the unrealistic expectations of perfection in the modeling industry made her choose a different career path. Now she focuses on portrait photography with her interest in fashion often shining through. Her images, however, are not as stylized or staged as is common in mainstream commercial fashion photography. She experiments with color, playful shapes and uses both organic and straight lines in her work. Fascinated by people, she is always searching for their pureness. Her talent for capturing people as they are, is easily recognized in her portfolio that exists of pop artists rocking the stage as well as people next door showing their vulnerability. Lin was selected as GUP New Talent 2021 and came in third place for the Zilveren Camera award – running in the portrait photography category.
